What am I committed to?

  • Communities lead the conversations. You will be tasked with informing us about how we can help you. We don’t know what is best for your community, but we can listen, learn and create a balanced solution to benefits everyone not just some.

  • I am running with those two as core values that our leaders should uphold and demand from those in seats of power.  It is time that we show the residents that we are trustworthy leaders who have the good of the residents of this beautiful area we call home at the heart of every decision we make.

  • No organize is set up to run successfully without bylaws and other procedures and polices in place. I will work to ensure we adopt bylaws that protect the people we serve to ensure we are held accountable and act in the best interest of the county.

  • Nature is not just a resource but a part of everything in Douglas County. We must protect it from being destroyed. Wild fires to unsustainable logging practices need to be held in check in order for us to thrive.

  • Each city is unique and with that comes unique needs. What is best for Roseburg may not be best for the Reedsport or Glide. We will take each situation into account planning for the future of Douglas County

  • You are not just another number in a line of residents, I care about the wellbeing of all of Douglas County. I want to hear from you, good or bad. If you have a suggestion, criticism, photos of a place you love, trees, cats, dogs, I am here to listen to them all and see how I can help you.

We’re not here to serve special interests.

We’re here to serve the public interest.

That means:

  • Making local government accessible, not intimidating

  • Creating economic opportunities that benefit all — not just corporations

  • Protecting public lands as shared inheritance, not private gain

  • Designing housing, health services, and infrastructure for diverse needs

  • Committing to equity in every decision — not as a checkbox, but as a core value

We will do this by:

  • Engaging communities early and often

  • Researching issues thoroughly — not rushing to apply one-size-fits-all answers

  • Protecting our natural beauty while creating strong, sustainable jobs

  • Ensuring housing and critical services reach every neighbor in need

This isn’t about doing things the same old way. It’s about doing the right thing, the right way, the people-first way
